7 Grotesque Experiments In Video Games

1. Social Experiments

Did you think viral experiments would be number one? It was for a time until these nasty concepts came to light. Social experiments are projects that work to test the choices people make based on stressful factors. Some examples exist in games like Harvester, but Fallout vaults are the kings of this experiment type. They contain everything from experiments that stick a poor guy alone with a bunch of puppets to one that deals with permanently isolating an entire population from the world. The common problem with this research is that human insecurities and power trips run rampant, they fight for control or to lead everyone towards their way of thinking which has a way of exacerbating the problem. Why Does It Belong Here? It was hard to choose between the last two choices, but these experiments had to place above the viruses because of the nastiness of the research. At least every other experiment type has some end goal to pursue. Even viral and psychic development experiments have a purpose and aren't done just for the sake of causing pain, unlike social experiments where the only goal is to see how miserable people get when you add stress. Not only are these done just for the sake of mentally torturing people, they also carry some of the most bizarre variables and desired effects. What kind of research involves turning someone into a serial killer, or giving one guy complete control over the virtual lives of others? These may not carry the devastation of viral experiments, but since the research is conducted with such a malicious intent social experiments get to live in infamy as the number one spot on this list.
Do you agree with the list? What types of experiments do you think are the worst? Let us know in the comments below!
