7 Incredible Stories Behind The Making Of WWE Video Games

1. Hulk Hogan's Hairline (King Of The Ring)

1993's King Of The Ring on SNES was an outdated, empty cash-in that aimed to capitalise on any excitement over the WWF's latest pay-per-view. It starred just 11 wrestlers (Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Bret Hart, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Bam Bam Bigelow, Yokozuna, Mr. Perfect, Lex Luger and the generic 'You') and was a button-mashing nightmare kids would laugh at today.

Prepare to laugh along with them.

During development of the game, Hulk Hogan became unhappy at how his in-game sprite looked. Nick Eastridge, the game's chief developer, had given Hulk a bald head with blonde hair tumbling down the back. That wasn't good enough, and so Eastridge went about the task of adding some pixels to Hogan's character.

When Hogan complained again, Nick gave him a full head of hair. The obvious problem here is that Hulk didn't have a full head of lush, thick locks, and so his character looked pretty much nothing like him. Wrestling is ridiculous, folks.
