7 Major Worries About The Nintendo Switch

1. Their Attitude Towards The Industry Is Baffling

There's a fine line between being confidently quirky, and outright dumbassery. 2016 saw that needle tip into the latter as Nintendo released the NES Classic Mini as a targeted stocking filler of a product - and supplied outlets with literally 2-3 units each.

From forcing press outlets to only showcase their games in 30 second chunks to putting on animated puppet shows in place of press conferences - then doing live-action ones that were boring as hell - it feels like that "Oh, you!" mindset we've had for decades has turned into, "Actually, can you just get it together?"

At some point they're freakin' Nintendo, the company responsible for some of the most forward-thinking hardware and software in the history of video games. They invented the analogue stick for god's sake, alongside perfecting third-person camera controls and 3D space in general.

Nintendo talk of respecting their legacy and turning all their past efforts into bold new ideas for the future, but there's a supreme lack of confidence in the Switch's abilities, that's left far too many wondering why they should even bother.
