7 Most Disappointing Video Game Crossovers

4. Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage And Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite

For a brief period of time Crash Bandicoot and Spyro were the new Mario and Sonic with everybody wanting to see them crossover. This did eventually happen, but the problem is it happened after both franchises became awful.

We got a pair of 2D platformers filled to the brim with mini-games, and both titles are just the worst.

If you want to get one of them for some reason then pick up Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage as it's the better game.

In Crash Bandicoot Purple you control Crash who at least in the platforming segments plays alright. He's actually had some experience in 2D with the pretty good Crash Bandicoot XS and Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced so it makes sense that a decent platforming moveset could be made for the guy. Also, the mini-games here are far better than what Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy has to offer. The game is still awful though.

When it comes to Spyro Orange, the dragon had little to no 2D games up until this point, and it isn't like they perfected Spyro in 2D for the first time here as the platforming is unbearable. It doesn't help that the minigames are terrible either.
