7 Problems With Nintendo At Corporate Level

1. Give In To Online Gaming

Mosmo Nintendo has in the past been one of the best companies for a multiplayer experience. Mario Party, Mario Kart, Goldeneye and many others were incredibly addictive games to play with friends on the N64 and the GameCube too had its fair share of great multiplayer games. Nintendo were the console kings at putting together games that were massively fun while sitting in the same room. Since then though, gaming has moved on in leaps and bounds and online gaming is the new norm for multiplayer. Unfortunately, Nintendo haven't put an emphasis on theirs, which is undoubtedly hurting them in a major way. The ability to play games against people from all over the world brings gamers in droves to the Xbox and PlayStation and even Sony have improved their online in recent years when they realised what they were doing wrong compared to Xbox. The fact of the matter is that most teenagers and older gamers now want to play online and games like Call of Duty, Battlefield and GTA give them the opportunity to play against people from all over the world. These titles sell in their millions and it's not just shooters as other games like Forza, Fifa and Madden enjoy a huge online audience. If anyone has the perfect games for fun online multiplayer, it's Nintendo, so it's about time they put a real focus on that. Even lesser appreciated games like Wii Sports would instantly be ten times more fun if they included the option to play competitively against others. A Metroid game with a dedicated online mode might be the shot in the arm that a series like it needs. Online experience against other humans adds an unpredictability factor that immediately makes games more likely to be replayed multiple times. It can be seen it games that only change slightly every year. Titles like Fifa and Call of Duty continue to maintain a large audience due largely to the online aspects of those games. Nintendo could bring a whole new lease of life to both their consoles and games if they just woke up and realised how important it is to modern gaming.
