1. Infamous: Second Son
Infamous: Second Son has been getting some really hot buzz of late. It seems to be the flagship title for the early months of the PlayStation 4's life and the most meaningful exclusive that the console currently owns. The game is part of the Infamous franchise, which, from an outsiders perspective, seemed like a really decent series with a tight following that never quite reached mega-franchise level. However, Second Son is a tangent to the first two games, set in the same world but with a new set of characters. As I said, the buzz for the game is massive and a new storyline will be inviting to new players. This could be the Infamous that could really make that jump to one of the most important franchises on the console. The game is set after the first two games and follows Delsin Rowe, a Seattle based 'superhero'. The game will feature similar gameplay to the last two games, but Sucker Punch seem to have put a firm focus on creating a character driven story framed by the dangerous and moral complex world in which Delsin lives. This is reinforced by a full motion capture performance from the ever popular Troy Baker. Performances that consist of motion capture and voice acting from the same actor are a really interesting prospect for the medium and it is something more games should be trying to explore. I'd love to see more on how Baker's performance has actually come together. In fact, I'm very eager to see more of the whole game. Here is hoping that Sucker Punch have nailed their formula.
