If you want to recruit Deneb into your party for the brilliant Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, then be prepared for a long old ride my friend, as there are actually TWO versions of the character you can unlock, both of which have some bizarre requirements.

For the vanilla Deneb, you'll need to first find her shop, which skips from location to location randomly. To do this you'll need to get to chapter 4 and read a note explaining more about who she is, then head to the store. Once there you need to purchase 99 items from her wares upon which you'll be met with a "join" button. Phew! our coffers may be empty but at least we have this wicked wicce.

Oh. she sucks. And because we've taken her away from her store that means it's now completely inaccessible. Huh, kinda wish I'd bought better items now.

So to unlock a BETTER Deneb, follow the same steps but before accepting her offer, go to Hell Gate and fight enemies until you've found 10 rare items called Glass Pumpkins. Take these back to Deneb and sell them to her, then recruit 10 Pumpkin Head allies and BOOM, now select join and you'll have a mighty mage capable of utterly breaking the game with her Nova spell and rocking much better stats!
