The Fallout series is one well known for it's colourful and often crazy characters, but let's be clear about something, not all companions are created equal. While you might find yourself trekking across the irradiated wastes to meet the likes of Nick Valentine or Rex the cyber-dog, you'll not find a single soul willing to leave the bloody house for The Pariah Dog, as this mutt is a very bad boy indeed.

In fact The Pariah dog sits on this list as the only party member from Fallout 2 that you DON'T want to recruit, as this furry fiend is nothing but bad luck, quite literally in fact. The player can sometimes encounter a random scenario in which they find a mass of corpses and a rather plucky looking pup. After assessing the area and finding the dog alone, you might feel relieved that nobody's Old Yella'd this chap, and feel even better when it appears to want to join the party.

Alright! a new set of teeth to sink into the horrors of the Wasteland! It even takes you over the regular party limit cap so this is surely all good news, right? Well, it turns out that the only reason The Pariah Dog has joined your party is that you FAILED a luck roll that was done behind the scenes, and will now lower your luck all the way down to 1!

This means that loot, exp, skill checks, EVERYTHING is now susceptible to abysmal luck ruining your chances of succeeding! BAD DOG! And worse still, the only way to remove the curse is to kill the poor mutt. Rough times right?!
