7 Reasons Rocksteady's Suicide Squad Reveal Was A HUGE Disappointment

7. No Gameplay

As the reveal event wore on and Will Arnett's charming-but-way-too-drawn-out comedy skits dominated the segment, it sunk in that yup, a CG trailer was all we were getting.

To be honest this could be down to Rocksteady's team size only being a few hundred, alongside the want to save what's really coming until they're closer to release (more on on that in a bit). In that case I'd say "Why now?", as fans have been waiting for this reveal for half a decade.

In the current climate of CG trailers dominating next-gen showcases, it's gameplay or nothing.

The CG trailer gave us very little other than hearing the perfected tones of Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, knowing the script is punchy enough and the cast bounce off each other really well. There was nothing shown as to how the game plays, what you'll be doing other than guesswork based on the name, how it ties into Rocksteady's signature melee combat or anything else.

When will we get more? Likely at the next DC Fandome, as Warner Bros. split it in two days before the stream.
