You've slain dragons twice over in 2011 and 2016 because of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. You've bested more Big Daddies than you care to count because of The Bioshock Collection, and that deep sea dive started in 2007. You've travelled the world adventuring in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, various Resident Evils have been ported across to PlayStation 4, and you even tried out first person mode in GTA , before having to start your online career from the very bottom again.

Remakes, remasters and compilations of the same games you've likely played before are everywhere, and they always come with fresh price tags, no matter how old.

Thankfully, simply step back one generation, and you can pick up all these phenomenal games for a fraction of the price - the only 'downside' being the slightest of knocks when it comes to visual fidelity.

You just have to ask yourself: are all the newer editions really worth it? Are prettier graphics the be all and end all for game quality?
