7 Reasons Why Overwatch Will Be The Next Big Multiplayer Shooter

A big game like Overwatch will not stay vanilla for every long. Alongside the usual assortment of bug patches, weapon balances and other important bits to help polish it up, you can expect Blizzard to start unleashing a plethora of updates that will introduce new weapons, powers and the like.

Take weapons, for example. At the moment, each character gets one, which is a little disappointing. Of course, these are to be combined with your powers to dish out some real damage, yet variety is always a good thing in multiplayer games. Even if they were moderate, tweaked versions of the originals, they'd be welcome inclusions.

Costumes will undoubtedly be coming your way. Aside from the usual palette swaps, more funky outfits to strut your funky stuff in would be very nice, but what about ones that add bonus special effects, like new, unique lines of dialogue or effects when you do something important?

And finally, there are maps and game modes. While Overwatch is coming with a hefty twelve maps ranging from utopian urban locations to emptier areas in Egypt and the U.S., they are only accessible to certain game modes; payload, attack/defend and controlling points. Some spiced up variations, alongside many brand new ones, will likely be coming our way.
