7 Steps to Making a Memorable Video Game Villain

5. Appearance

If the voice is important, then the appearance has to be iconic. Whether playing golf in a conventional tailored suit or fangs stick branching out of the lower jaw, the first impression is always the most pivotal. The gamer€™s internal red alert has to flash as soon as he/she sees one of the main antagonists for the first time. It could be an epic entrance. It could be an epic cut scene. No matter what, the villain has to look €“ for lack of a more adequate term €“ cool. It is nothing but imperative iconography. Do you remember that cut scene in The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess in which Ganondorf breaks free and bulldozes one of the sages with a swift, missile fist? If you do, would you need anything else to prove the degree of fatality that you may be dealing with? In addition, the attire itself defines an individual€™s identity, including their demeanor. It would be unsurprising if Albert Wesker from the Resident Evil serieswore leather underwear just to match the rest of his slick design. Even his sunglasses and combing skills make Keanu Reeves look like a monotone puppy instead of €˜The One€™.
