2. Ruthlessness

When an intelligent person comes to mind, people will probably imagine a controlled, sophisticated, and eloquent character. Mix a maniacal twist in there, and you are up against unstoppable ruthlessness. A villain that fits these parameters may appear composed, but a simple brush on his/her shoulder may gift them with the element of surprise. The Joker pops to mind straightaway, but Sephiroth of
Final Fantasy fame takes the cake. When he speaks, walks, and even fights, the gamer witnesses frailty behind a mask. When this frailty is merely caressed, a lethal outcome is anticipated. Example? The death of Aeris. When she collapsed to the ground, many PlayStation controllers did the same. Sephiroth, on the other hand, failed to drop a sweat and a pinch of regret during and after his mission was accomplished. Ruthlessness is not only limited to rational yet cold individuals, however. Remember when I mentioned the some
thing earlier? Somethings usually are like a giant boulder rolling down a cliff towards you overwhelmingly powerful and impossible to be reasoned with. Bane, at the end of
Arkham Asylum, justifies that analogy quite neatly, does he not?
