7 Things You Need To Know About RetroMania Wrestling

3. There Will Be 12-16 Playable Wrestlers

Retrosoft aren't committing to a firm number on exactly how many wrestlers will be available on the game's roster at launch. They claim it'll be anywhere between "12-16". Thus far, nine names have been confirmed for RetroMania: Animal, Hawk, Tommy Dreamer, Colt Cabana, Zack Sabre Jr, Austin Idol, Stevie Richards, Blue Meanie and Hollywood Nova.

That's a pretty eclectic mix.

The bWo inclusion is sweet, and so is the chance to play as The Road Warriors. Both Animal and Hawk were in WWF WrestleFest, albeit as non-playable boss characters, so the chance to control them sounds fun. It'd be awesome if Retrosoft could add another couple of older stars to complement newer faces like Cabana and Sabre Jr too.

The game's developers have said they'll be offering more wrestlers post-launch via DLC. Still, their own "12-16" phrasing indicates that a few more names will be announced before RetroMania hits shelves early next year. Right now, nine isn't quite enough.
