Don't be sitting there thinking you'll be playing Virtual Basement's new wrestling IP on PS4 or Xbox One, because that's blatantly not happening. The game is still in the early stages of development, and that's why the company have their sights set on next-gen hardware like the PS5.

Let's hope it's more thrilling than Sony's technical specs presentation was.

Minor digs at Mark Cerny's delivery aside, this is actually an exciting prospect for VB. They're now the very first developer talking turkey on a pro wrestling game for the next generation of gaming consoles, and that's something to crow about. 2K may feel under pressure to make their own announcement about 2K21 and that series' future now.

As things stand, there's a good chance this new wrestling game will hit PS4, Xbox One and possibly Steam sometime next year. That, obviously, depends on any setbacks, postponements to refine the product's quality etc.
