3. Character Models Are Hand Drawn

2K like to scan most of the character models you play as in WWE 2K20 (or, if you're like this writer, you're still playing 2K19 - it's the same deal there though, and it has been for years now). This, in theory, gives each wrestler a unique look that's more realistic. Virtual Basement are going for something a little different.

They're hand-drawing each individual wrestler.

The impressive thing here is that early stills of Shaheem Ali's character model look comparable to most from 2K20. His gear ripples with shiny pockets of light depending on how he stands, and everything has a pretty solid polish to it. Better yet, this is VB's first real attempt at making these workers look like the real thing.

Compare Ali's model to real pictures of the guy in action, and things become even more awesome. This had to be a trip for the 34-year old to finally see himself in a pro wrestling game. It's a compliment to VB to say that his character looks like a damn good Community Creations build from WWE games.
