7 Upcoming Licensed Video Games To Get Excited About

5. Untitled Indiana Jones Game

Indiana Jones has been absent from the video game world since 2009, with the forgettable Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings for the Wii being his last effort.

Now with a rejigged LucasArts taking back control of their gaming IP, they've proudly announced that Bethesda Softworks will be co-publishing a fresh adventure featuring the famous archeologist/Nazi fighter.

All we have to go on is a brief teaser, but the reason we can already get excited is Bethesda has got their in-house studio MachineGames in charge of development.

To recap, that's the dev behind the fantastic recent rebooting of the Wolfenstein franchise. Those initial games did a great job of paying homage to a classic series while revitalizing them for a modern age, also it sported a compelling and cinematic plot with rich characters...plus, you got to take out Nazi's in stylish and satisfying fashion.

In conclusion, these are all traits that make for a great fit for the IP. And while Nathan Drake has already stolen the franchise pedigree in the gaming world, that series has been laid dormant for the time being, making the moment ripe for Indy to make a big-budget triple-A return to games.
