7 Video Games You Didn’t Realise Were Sequels

Pokémon Stadium isn't the first game in the Pokémon Stadium series. Pokémon Stadium is.

Yeah, it's a bit confusing, let me explain.

In Japan, the game Pocket Monsters’ Stadium was released which would be known in English as Pokémon Stadium. This game later got a sequel which was then released to the west as Pokémon Stadium, as if the first game didn't happen.

I'll be referring to the Japanese released game as Pocket Monsters’ Stadium and the game we got as Pokémon Stadium from here on out to avoid confusion.

Pocket Monsters’ Stadium feels like an unfinished version of what we got. It only has 42 playable Pokémon as opposed to the 151 that we got. It also lacks any of the mini-games which if we're being honest are the only reason to go back to Pokémon Stadium.

There is no reason to play Pocket Monsters’ Stadium other than for novelty's sake. The game is a lesser version of what we got in every way, feeling more like a demo of that game than the predecessor.
