7 Video Games You Didn’t Realise Were Sequels

1. Duck Hunt - Beam Gun: Duck Hunt

It's hard to imagine that Duck Hunt for the NES isn't the first game in its series. Gaming was still new when it came out.

What, was there a Duck Hunt for the Atari 2600?

Nah, the first Duck Hunt game was a toy.

Made by Nintendo, the Beam Gun: Duck Hunt was released in 1976 and was a toy shotgun and a projector. The projector displayed ducks on any surface which you could then shoot with your toy gun.

It's the purist duck hunting experience you can get without actually hunting ducks.

It hasn't got any of the bells and whistles that exist in the NES Duck Hunt, like a dog who is just the worst or other shooting games like clay pigeons. Nope, this was just duck shooting, nothing more, nothing less.
