7 Ways Injustice 2 Raises The Bar For Fighting Games
3. Graphics & Presentation Are Gorgeous
Seriously though, it was widely regarded that NetherRealm Studios outdid themselves with the graphics in 2015's Mortal Kombat X. Each character model in MKX had been rendered to near perfection, to the point where we could've hit an early-generation high point.
Injustice 2 pushes the limits of current gaming consoles to the max, setting the bar even higher for all video games. Playing through Story Mode feels like you're watching a movie, where the motion and speech capture are all spot on. The lighting and particle effects in every move you pull off are top notch, more evident than ever in the multiple stage transitions and character special moves.
Many character models have been improved upon from the last Injustice game too. For example, Wonder Woman had been poorly rendered the first time around and now she’s been brought to life. Batman looks far more imposing and powerful, and Scarecrow feels like he's going to crawl out of your television and attack you in your living room. It seems like NetherRealm's hard work has finally paid off.
