One of the very first things you should do, in the event of a possible hack, is try to change your password. If your request is granted, change the password to something completely different. Don't be silly with your choices; the most common passwords are things like "password", "123456" and your name or email address. Use random number and letter generators for maximum security rather than allowing a hacker to simply guess their way into your Xbox Live. The best case scenario is you stop a hacker before they control your account and the worst case is you stop future hackers blagging their way in with old or common information.
