8 "Blink And You'll Miss It" Video Game Secrets
7. Vamp Lives! - Metal Gear Solid 2
So... we're all in agreement that Metal Gear Solid 2 is a weird game right?
From rollerblading, bomb-obsessed rotund rotters, to confusing plots revolving around secret government conspiracies which themselves are actually part of even more secret conspiracies, no matter where you looked there were huge heapings of oddness to chew on.
And because Hideo Kojima is an utterly mad lad, he stuffed the title so full of content that it's a shock that the game case didn't burst open under its weight. From ice cubes that melt in real-time, to a tonne of jokey references, Metal Gear Solid 2 revels in rewarding eagle-eyed players.
And you'd certainly need keen vision for this one. At the end of the game, once Snake and Raiden are having a chat about choosing a new life for themselves, if you use the in-game mechanic of moving and zooming the camera around during cutscenes, you'll spot in the back of the scene, standing next to a car, the horrifying visual of Vamp watching the pair!
Now as we know, Vamp appears in Metal Gear Solid 4 for another face-off with Raiden, but it's very creepy to think he's been tracking him since this point.
