The Thirst Zapper from Fallout 4's Nuka-World DLC may be perfectly primed to quench your thirst, but as a weapon, the glorified water pistol is a total damp squib, right?

Not quite. With a little tinkering this 200-year-old novelty trinket acquired by people who drink way too much of the fizzy stuff for their own good can be transformed into a glorified weapon of mass destruction. Yup.

If you're able to get your hands on the Project Cobalt schematics, you can weaponise Nuka-Cola flavours, such as Nuka Quantum, to turn the Thirst Zapper into a portable nuke launcher capable of reducing most all of the game's enemies to dust. Seriously.

Better still, the Thirst Zapper is enormous fun to use with the V.A.T.S. targeting system, which allows you to deal lethal explosive damage with a basically laser-guided efficiency.

The Zapper's item description claims that it'll "zap your thirst," and once you've been turned into a crater by its awesomely destructive force, that's certainly technically correct. Who's got time to be thirsty when they're dead?
