Let's face it, you knew that I was going to include a Fromsoft boss in this list at some point, and seeing as the dev unit routinely delivers you your own ass with surgical precision these days it would be impossible to ignore them.

It's also impossible to block out the fact that the fanbase for these games sit right in the middle of "people who want to have their testicles mashed with a whisk" and "will be willing to pay for it" because the sheer number of DLC units shifted for the likes of Dark Souls and Bloodborne is insane. However, we won't be talking about dusty old hunters or orphans or burning embers today as it's time for the oft-forgotten Sekiro to get a rub (mainly because I worry if we stop talking about it we'll never get a sequel).

Coming many moons after the original launch a chunky DLC addition was provided for free that allowed the player to relive and rematch the title's bosses, however what many soon found out was that they should never have trusted Fromsoft to deliver all this goodness without asking for something in return, as the bosses had been rebalanced and in some cases modified to be even harder.

While one could argue that Inner Father is the toughest of the lot, Inner Genichiro will be the moment that your jaw will hit the floor alongside your still-warm corpse, as this lad not only has been studying hard, but he's now taken up improv comedy. I say this because he directly counters your lightning counter with his own which to him I'm sure is bloody hilarious.

Add in some new gap closing tactics and the Sakura Blossom weapon art and you have a boss that you may take for granted as an easy win at first but who will dice you up in seconds.
