8 Back-Breaking Video Game DLC Bosses
2. Crisanta Of The Warped Agony - Blasphemous Wounds Of The Eventide
Much in the same way that some of the boss battles from Sekiro got a glow-up thanks to a free update, so to did one of the most popular bosses from the almighty Blasphemous. Here it's the turn of Cisanta Of The Wrapped Agony, who already posed quite a significant challenge in the base game, but thanks to the Wounds Of Eventide became a whole new barbed sword up the old penetrance tunnel, and yet it's arguably one of the best, most fitting battles as a result.
While the devs could have easily just used the DLC to update the map with a new quest dungeon and have Crisanta appear at the very end with her new form, instead the player is tasked with completing a brand new run of the game to even hope to see the new content. This is perfectly in keeping with the motifs of the cyclic nature of violence and despair and means that by the time Crisanta even casts a shadow over the Penitent One, you'll be itching to smack her right in the traffic cone head.
Yet the smackdown may go very much in her favor if you celebrate too soon after forcing her to bend the knee, as if you completed the requirements of the new run she will stand right back up for round two! And if you thought her attacks were hard to read and parry before, well you might as well just give up at this point because she's going to shove those rosary beads where the sun doesn't shine.
If the question was "how do we make this fan favorite character even more memorable?" the answer thanks to this DLC is "to have her beat the ever-loving piss out of you"
