8 Best Video Game Endings You Can't Get On A First Playthrough

7. The Real Ending - Asura's Wrath

Now this one is cheating a little bit, but at the same time, I think the same can be said of Capcom for having the gall to pull this ridiculous stunt in the first place.

For those who have never played the outstanding expression of anger that is Asura's Wrath, the title is basically what would happen if you stuffed every anime villain alongside Mastadon's seminal Blood Mountain record into a blender and hit Frappé. There's a lot of screaming, intense power and a whole lot of headbanging in the form of you bouncing your foes off of the bloody moon and back.

Still, it was players who felt like they were headbutting a brick wall when Capcom announced that despite what the game itself was telling you, the "real ending" was actually going to be released as a DLC chapter. That's right they partitioned off the actual true ending of the game and charged you money for it.

Therefore it's quite possible that nobody playing the game at the time of launch achieved the best ending the first time around as it's likely they played it at a time before the bastard thing was even in the game!

Cheers mate. Get the impression that Capcom is the type of guy who always nips to the loo when it's his round.
