4. We're Going To See Pikmin 4 (And It's Going To Launch With The NX)
Remember how long the wait between Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 3 was? Pikmin 2 was released in 2004. It wasn't until almost a decade later in 2013 that fans finally got to play the third entry in the series. For a long time it was one of those things that most thought would never happen, another franchise tossed to the wind like so many of Nintendo's strongest and most interesting properties (looking at you, F-Zero). Imagine how surprised fans were then, when in 2015 during an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto, the video game titan revealed that a fourth entry in the series was already in development. Not only that, but Miyamoto claimed the game was very close to completion. It would make total sense, then, if the game was shown at this year's E3. It's interesting that Miyamoto didn't state which platform the game was being made for, making it quite likely it's an NX title. In fact, a game so far along in development last year would probably be ready in time to act as a launch title for the new system
