8 Challenging Video Game Moments That Made You Sweat

6. Skate 2 - Can You Spell Girl

On the release of its debut title in 2007, the Skate series breathed new life into the genre of skateboarding games that had started to become stale. Sure, the first four Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games are bonafide classics, but each sequel failed to stray too far from the initial cartoonish portrayal of skateboarding as entirely effortless and an often gravity-defying endeavour.

The Skate series brought some much-needed realism into the genre and became much-beloved as a result of its realistic depiction of the sport.

Skate 2 is arguably the zenith of the franchise, but all three titles are undoubtedly classics.

Despite its accolades, EA Black Box's sophomore title includes some seriously frustrating moments, especially to those who haven't quite got to grips with the games "flick it" control system.

However, none of these tasks proved quite as challenging as Skate 2's Can You Spell Girl, where the player has to have a game of S.K.A.T.E against seasoned pros Eric Koston and Mike Carroll.

The problem is, Carroll and Koston are almost unflappable making it an arduous task to try and force a failure from either of them.

As a result, most online walkthroughs encourage the player to use exploits in order to get past the notoriously difficult challenge.
