8 Dumbest Video Game Decisions With The BEST Rewards

7. Make An Idiot Savant Build, Get Random XP Boosts - Fallout 4

One of the most vital choices in the Fallout series is how players decide to balance their character's build, and in the case of Fallout 4, that means deciding how your attribute points are distributed among the pillars of Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck.

Conventional wisdom dictates that you don't want any one of these attributes to be too low, yet there is one exception - the Idiot Savant build.

The Idiot Savant is created by investing nothing in Intelligence but everything in Luck and Strength, allowing you to deal damage and land regular critical hits.

But the pièce de résistance comes by activating the Idiot Savant perk, which will randomly grant you 3x XP for any activity in the game. The lower your intelligence, the better your chance at triggering the perk, and so keeping Intelligence at 1 will ensure you'll regularly benefit from it.

As the perk ranks up, the multiplier even increases to 5x, ensuring that despite your character's eminent stupidity - a seemingly risky way to be in a post-apocalyptic wasteland - you'll level up much faster than your "smarter" fellow explorers.
