8 EXACT Moments You Rage Quit In Video Games
4. The Opening Fight (And That Camera Angle) - Ninja Gaiden
The Ninja Gaiden series has always been known for its punishing difficulty, and as a result, it's a franchise with a high player kill count, both in terms of in-game avatars and of them refusing to return and deal with the onslaught of enemies, hazards and quite frankly horrendously punishing moments.
While a lot of players will point to Stage 6-2 of the original as the tapping out point, Ninja Gaiden laughed at the concept of letting players experience any of the game before mashing their face to the floor, utterly humiliating players in the opening level.
Hell, it wasn't even partway through, it was the first enemies you encountered. Entering a room, the camera suddenly swings round to show that you're not alone, and now must face off against three assassins all at once!
And if you thought that this was going to be your usual "I'll attack first lads, you wait and watch" scenario you were dead wrong and likely dead dead, because these guys do not give a toss if you're midway through your combo, and will routinely attack you for sizeable chunks of health.
It's actually entirely possible to be stun locked into a corner of the room while this terrible trio wails on you relentlessly, and saw many players hit the dirt before the adventure even truly started.
