8 Franchises We Want To See A Lego Game Adaptation Of
3. Back To The Future
Given the desire of Hollywood studios to squeeze every cent out of their most viable properties, it's incredible that Back To The Future hasn’t been the subject of a remake or a sequel yet. Many would rather that remain the case, not wanting to see the wonderful trilogy of films tarnished in any shape of form as the likes of Indiana Jones have been by subpar follow-ups. Most are happy to see it celebrated and passed down to a new generation of audiences, however.
Back To The Future was one of the first properties picked up by Telltale to develop in their episodic game format. That was over a decade ago, however, and Doc and Marty’s appearances across the media spectrum have been few and far between since. Their adventures are certainly overdue for another homage and brick form would be perfect, particularly given that Lego are heavily rumoured to release a new DeLorean set later on in the year, improving upon what was a somewhat disappointing 2013 model.
The films would have to be stretched to six levels apiece to fill a game, but there are more than enough great moments across Hill Valley in four different time periods to fill them, with further inspiration to draw from the early 1990s animated series or criminally-removed Universal Studios ride. Make like a tree and get out of here (to go and make the thing) already!
