8 Gameplay Sections That Nearly Killed Amazing Video Games

5. The. Damn. Corridor - Final Fantasy XV

*shudders*

This. This right here ladies and gents is where Final Fantasy XV dropped off for many players. The infamous Chapter 13 of the otherwise brilliant title dropped the "boys on tour" vibe that had been prevalent throughout until this point and instead gave us a glorious helping of *checks the menu* oh yes forced stealth in a protracted and uninspired setting.

No thanks. I'm full.

Except this isn't an option as the devs, for some unknown reason, piped this liquid piss down players' throats with no worry as to whether the entire experience was enjoyable. Stripped of all his powers and his allies, Noctis must traverse a seemingly endless and linear system of corridors while trying to avoid enemies by ducking into small gaps placed sporadically throughout.

and "try" is the operative word here because as you might expect from a game so focused on massive battles in open-world areas, the stealth controls were completely at odds with anything else you'd experienced before.

And if you don't think this section was all that bad, remember that the devs were forced by the community to add in a way to skip past almost the entirety of it in future releases.
