A list of adventure games that are loved by all could be filled with titles exclusively from the repertoire of LucasArts. They have managed to produce a whole host of brilliant games including Grim Fandango, Maniac Mansion and The Dig. One of the most influential designers at LucasArts was Tim Schafer, and this game was another one of his. Released in 1995 Full Throttle is set in a dystopian future, with you as the leader of a biker gang. However more technologically-advanced vehicles are replacing older motor vehicles, leaving many of your gang bitter. The story involves you being framed for murder, rescuing your gang and preventing the last remaining motorcycle company from changing its focus to produce minivans. The best thing about Full Throttle and why it is still much loved, is that it manages to fuse together the feeling of intense loneliness in a deserted wasteland with witty humour. Characters are thoroughly entertaining and conversations with them will often leaving you chuckling away to yourself. Full Throttle went all out in the audio department, featuring a full voice cast that included Mark Hamill and Roy Conrad as well as a number of music tracks from The Gone Jackals. The puzzles were fun and logical as opposed to some other adventure games of the time that were simply frustrating. Overall most peoples main problem with the game is that it is too short, which goes to prove that it was so good people were left wanting more.
