It is highly unlikely, given the sheer controversy it would likely cause with religious groups, but the New Testament is almost perfect source material for an Assassin's Creed game. Jesus has already been mentioned in the lore of the series before - way back in the first game, al-Mualim commented on Christ’s use of an Apple of Eden to turn water into wine, whilst one of the many glyphs found in Assassin’s Creed II (though these have been mostly retconned) implies that Jesus used a Shroud of Eden to perform his miracles.

Christ’s lifetime is not too far removed from the setting of Origins and using it as a setting could start to bridge the eight century gap between Cleopatra’s Egypt and the Viking setting of this year’s entry, building on Bayek and Aya’s establishment of the Hidden Ones order. Many of the sacred scripture’s more fantastical events could be explored and explained as the actions of Objects of Eden, whilst the Middle East has plenty of other ancient history to lean on in terms of cities, landmarks and characters aside from the messiah himself.

The action could also be taken across the Mediterranean given the dominance of Rome during this time. The reign of Caligula as Emperor, which began just four years after Jesus’ crucifixion, presents a particularly interesting storyline opportunity given that his four years of rule culminated in an assassination.

Maybe you could also join the Judean People’s Front? Or the People’s Front of Judea…
