2. Beyond Good And Evil 2

For more than 10 years, three games were constantly talked about that players lost faith in ever seeing released: Final Fantasy XV, The Last Guardian, and Ubisoft's Beyond Good and Evil 2. While the former two eventually did hit shelves after incredibly long production periods though, the latter constantly remained nothing more than a myth - until E3 2017.

Finally re-announced after almost a decade of only being talked about in hushed tones and vague promises, the long-anticipated sequel had an entirely new look - and a new mature rating - that took fans by surprise. It didn't matter though; they were just pleased that the game - now a prequel - was finally in active development.

Of course, with only a CG trailer to its name and no other details released about the game, the final release could still be a ways off yet. The sudden shift in development, as well as the fact that the game's director, Michel Ancel, is juggling numerous projects (working on the similarly-troubled Wild at the same time as this follow up), doesn't bode well for a timely release.
