8 More New Game Plus Modes That Change EVERYTHING
4. Kirby's Dream Land
Now technically you can actually unlock the "Extra Mode" on the GBA classic Kirby's Dream Land at any time through the use of a cheat code, but the true and honorable way to achieve this secret is by beating the game and letting the game tell you about this code.
Plus, to be honest, if you jumped the gun and put in the code with your grubby little paws after hearing the big boys at school talk about it in between claiming Alkaline Trio is the best band ever, you were going to be in for a world of hurt, because (and I can't believe I'm going to say this) this is the hardest challenge Kirby has ever given players.
Yeah. A hard Kirby game. I thought I'd seen it all.
Though to be fair the only thing I was seeing on this mode was the bloody game over screen, as with every enemy being replaced with harder or later game versions, even the first level is a bloody meat grinder.
Add to this the fact that all the bosses have been reworked with attacks that home in, cover huge areas of the screen, and rinse your health, and suddenly even Whispy Woods is looking less like a dopey twig and more like a cricket bat to the shins.
