6. Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow

Now while you might have thought that Dragon's Dogma has a neat surprise waiting for players on the New Game Plus route, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow laughs at Capcom's efforts with an entirely new campaign that sees you battle your former self but only if you get the Bad Ending the first time round.

Confused? That's Castlevania for you baby!

In Dawn of Sorrow you take up the mantle, at first, of one Soma Cruz who is tasked with eliminating Dracula and breaking a prophecy that lists YOU as the next person to inherit his power. Should you end the game with the Bad Ending, you'll, unfortunately, have acted as your own Deliveroo Driver of Destiny and plonked yourself right in harm's way to become the next Fanged Lord.

However, the game doesn't end here, as if you go through New Game + you'll now play as Julius Belmont and are tasked with hunting down Soma, meaning that come to the end of this playthrough you'll have effectively had to kill yourself!

It's an ingenious twist for sure and one that adds in a huge amount of replay value as well as monstrous amounts of fun for the player.
