8 Most Anticipated PlayStation 4 Exclusives Of 2018

2. God Of War

When it's out: Q1 (expect delays)

What it is: The rearmed, relocated and rebooted return of Mr Angry Pants or, as we all know and love him, Kratos, son of Zeus and destroyer of deific pantheons.

But those deeds are all in the past, okay? Kratos has settled down in the years following his vengeful crusade against the Gods, having grown a beard and borne a son during the downtime, and it's the father/son relationship that's to serve as the core narrative in Sony Santa Monica's semi-reboot.

If that sounds dangerously close to being a babysitting gig to you, chill - the developer assures us that Atreus won't be a hindrance. Rather, consider him to be an assistant to his pops, able to provide some extra clout when Kratos deems it necessary to topple whatever monstrosity the Norse Gods have sent his way.

Yes, Norse. We're still in the dark as to how Kratos ended up in Scandinavia, but aware of, let's say, his past 'achievements', the Northern pantheon isn't taking any risks.

With a revamped combat system, brand new setting and an intriguing coming-of-age narrative at the centre of it all, God of War's future is shining brighter than a star.

Now if we could just get a concrete release date. That'd be great.
