8 Most Beautiful (But Deadly) Areas In Video Games

6. House Beneviento - Resident Evil Village

Nobody does an opulent-but-horrifying mansion quite like Resident Evil, and Resident Evil Village serves up an Airbnber's worst nightmare with the decadent, terror-filled House Beneviento.

This mansion is a real looker alright, from its jaw-dropping cliffside placement to the immaculate interior design, and invitingly dim lighting.

But of course, this being Resident Evil and all, we're under no illusions that there's nothing good waiting inside.

And indeed, House Beneviento is probably the scariest segment of the entire game, as players have their weapons taken away and soon enough find themselves facing off against a giant fetus monster distilled from pure nightmare fuel itself.

But that's not all - you'll then have to play the world's worst game of hide and seek with a doll possessed by Donna Beneviento, because why the hell not?

It's fitting that one of the most aesthetically pleasing areas in the entire game also happens to contain its most shudder-inducing horrors.
