8 Nintendo Switch Criticisms That Also Apply To The PS4 & Xbox One

8. Lack Of First-Party Titles At Launch

What first-party game did you play on your PS4 at launch? Was it Knack? Perhaps Killzone: Shadow Fall? Both those and Resogun were the only exclusive offering going at the time, and I guarantee you've not returned to either since, if you played them at all.

On the Xbox One front, things were much better, with Microsoft throwing out a new Forza, Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome and Killer Instinct - all games you couldn't find anywhere else. Time has sufficiently buried all four, but at least Microsoft were charging out the gates with purpose.

In camp Nintendo it's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Snipperclips, Fast RMX and a timed-exclusive unveiling of new Shovel Knight content. All three consoles had copious amounts of third-party games to back up the exclusives and first-party stuff, but the point is this:

Neither Sony or Microsoft wowed up front at launch, and they didn't have Zelda being revered as one of the greatest games of all time, either.
