8 Nintendo Switch Criticisms That Also Apply To The PS4 & Xbox One
7. Bad Battery Life
Microsoft can sit this one out, as it's the DualShock 4 that still remains a pathetically short-lived controller when playing any game. Seriously, you'll get around 4-5 hours at best before it needs another charge, which would be quite the substantial complaint if PlayStation fans or consumers in general didn't let it slide on by.
For the Switch, whilst its battery life isn't being raked across the coals, the system is able to provide a portable home console experience for that same 4 hours, and that's only if it's playing something as processor-intensive as Breath of the Wild. You'll get far longer out of the machine by playing pretty much any other game.
Even if you take the individual Joy-Cons needing charging as a marked negative, at least they draw power from the tablet itself whenever you're in handheld mode, so if you're going between docked and portable frequently, this just isn't an issue.
Contrast to the DualShock 4 which will need a rest in the middle of the afternoon, and Sony fans can't honestly point fingers without also looking in the mirror.
