8 One Shot Kill Weapons That Fail At Their Job

7. Impact Hammer - Unreal Tournament

In theory, Unreal Tournament's Impact Hammer is damn lethal.

The default weapon you'll likely only fall back to if all others run out of ammo, the Impact Hammer is basically a portable piston which, when charged, will automatically turn an opponent into chunks of salsa upon making physical contact.

Despite being a seemingly useful one-shot kill weapon, though, actually killing anyone with it is much easier said than done.

Firstly, you need to charge the thing for a few seconds, leaving you open to ranged attacks, and secondly, getting close enough to explode an enemy with it requires at least as much luck as skill.

It's certainly fun when it does work, but if you're actually committed to using the Impact Hammer as your primary weapon, be prepared for your kill/death ratio to crater into the Earth's core.

Where one-shot kill weapons in Unreal Tournament are concerned, the Redeemer - basically a portable nuke launcher - remains the crowned King.
