5. Ray Gun - Call Of Duty: Zombies

While the main serving of any Call Of Duty experience will be one that focuses on huge set pieces, endless waves of enemies and finger ache from all the shots you'll be firing, World At War changed the dynamic of the franchise when it ushered into existence a little mode called "Zombies".

Blowing the lid off of what people were expecting, this wave-based survival horror experience quickly took root and soon became one of THE reasons to even pick up a Call Of Duty game at all.

Strategies were developed, enemies balanced and retweaked, and huge labyrinthine narratives were woven, and while the player is never truly able to feel safe at any given moment, the Alien Ray sure does make things a little more palatable.

If a player is lucky they'll be able to snag a Ray Gun or one of its successor models from a mystery box inside the mode, and because of its ability to one-shot zombies whilst dealing splash damage to others, the Ray Gun is highly sought after by players.

In fact, it's become so iconic that it's ironic to call this a secret as everyone knows about it! Still thanks to the fact that it's down to luck whether you'll even get one, it more than qualifies for this list.
