8 Pokémon That Are Way Bigger Than You Think

5. Golbat

Imagine trying to fly from Cinnabar Island to Cerulean City on the back of a Pidgey or a Spearow. Even if this were physically possible, it would surely be extremely difficult for the Pokémon, not to mention incredibly dangerous for a ten year old child. The fact that these Pokémon can learn Fly is nothing short of ridiculous.

While Zubat may fall under this category, at just 2'7" tall, its second form does not. Even though it evolves from the most annoying Pokémon in the history of the series, Golbat can actually prove useful to have in your party, not least because it can learn Fly.

At 5'3", Golbat is more than double the size of Zubat, making the task of carrying its trainer through the clouds much more manageable. Though you would never think it, Golbat actually measures the same height as behemoths Blastoise, Machamp, and Metagross.

This means that Golbat's mouth is roughly 3' fully open, and it could swallow half the Pokédex whole if it had a mind to.
