6. Hariyama
The majority of Fighting type Pokémon possess lean, athletic, muscular physiques, to suit their attacking style of battle, from the entire Machop line, to the Fighting types of later generations like Lucario and Sawk. Of course, there are some exceptions to this rule.
Makuhita is a short, little chubster of a Pokémon, measuring at just 3'3", so it would be natural to assume its evolved form would follow suit. Yet, once evolution kicks in, the little Fighting type - while remaining bulky - more than doubles in height, growing to a far more intimidating 7'7".
Whereas the likes of Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee are based on smaller, agile fighters like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, Hariyama is the Yokozuna of the Pokémon world. A different body type, certainly, but no less intimidating, with the Ultra Beast, Buzzwole, being the only Fighting type in the entire Pokédex to stand above it.
Among others to look up to the third generation giant are, incredibly, the three Legendary Titans, Regice, Regirock, and Registeel, and pseudo-legendary Dragons Goodra and Dragonite.
