If there's one thing everyone remembers the movie Minority Report for, it's the 'Gestural Interface' scenes. The way Tom Cruise controls the projected screens is what a lot of gamers fantasise the future of graphical user interfaces will become. A deft move of the fingers and hands replacing the archaic method of having to press buttons. Could a gestural interface eventually be perfected? It would be an amazing way of navigating menus or playing games, maybe even using the method for typing could be implemented. While the projected 3D image seems a bit unlikely, who knows how advanced televisions will become in almost a decade's time.
