6. Character Interaction And Co-Operations

Classically, 'Social Links' - the relationships you build between characters that also buff the Persona summons you control - have been a major part of the experience.

They’re back in the fifth instalment but under a slightly different name. Being you’re playing as meddling thieves, you’ve not got the time to kick back and chill with your mates for any old reason.

You’ve got to go out of your way to build up a rapport with your fellow hooligans, and co-operate in such a way that it’s mutually beneficial. Yeah, that might include hanging out after school and catching a movie or going shopping, but it’s all for the greater good of the heist.

A friendly team is an efficient one, and by spending time with your cohorts, you’ll unlock special items and abilities that will seriously help you throughout the game. Make sure to give Ann a call and ask if she fancies a night on the town. It’ll be worth your time.

Whilst it’s not a completely standalone alternative to grinding in dungeons, you can get some serious stat boosts by doing this, and it can seriously help relieve some of said time grinding. Co-operations will be essential to your success. There’s also a significant amount of story packed in to them, and whilst they won’t necessarily relate to the main plot, they’re all worth playing through.
