8 Reasons You Should Be Playing World Of Warcraft Classic

7. A Simpler, Less Cluttered Experience

Since its release way back in 2004, World of Warcraft has seen an overwhelming amount of content added.

While this has enabled the game to stay relevant for longer than anyone would have believed possible, it makes it a little confusing for old players jumping back in after a few years out.

An achievement system? Pokémon style "battle pets"? A group finder that automatically matches you with players on different realms? They're all nice and shiny, but they're vanity features that each serve to subtly shift the tone and style of gameplay away from its former glory.

Jumping into Classic is like taking a breath of fresh air. All of the more complicated UI features are gone, and everything is a little easier to wrap your head around.

And that's not to mention the return to an Azeroth before all of the world-changing events of modern-day WoW.

Expansion by expansion, the world lore was added to, new races and classes appeared, and whole aspects of the original story became long-forgotten relics.

Classic gives you a chance to rediscover all of that story in a world untouched by Deathwing, not a single talking Panda in sight.
