This rumour somewhat connected to the Sunset Overdrive one, although it's a really questionable connection. First off, the solid part of the rumor: Microsoft will release white Xbox Ones this year for customers. Before, white consoles were exclusively gifts to Microsoft employees who worked on the console. Here's where the rumor gets a bit fuzzy: the white consoles may or may not be bundled with Sunset Overdrive and/or a new controller. Could it be true: Possibly on the white Xboxes, who knows for the rest First of all, there's a lot of ways to interpret ntkrnl's "White Console plus Sunset Overdrive and a fancy ass controller in October" statement. It could mean a bundle of some or all of the items or all of them coming out in the same month. But when it comes to console, Microsoft putting out a white version for no real reason seems plausible. People did go crazy for white iPhones after all. The only questionable thing about it is the timing seems to be way too early in the Xbox One's lifespan to do different color consoles. If there's a bundle, then the white consoles make a bit more sense. The only problem is that looking at anything Sunset Overdrive related makes a white console seem unlikely. If anything, a Sunset Overdrive Xbox One would probably be partly covered in graffiti with a big chunk of white on it. And when it comes to the controller, there's a thousand different ways "fancy" could be interpreted, although some kind of recolor is likely. Microsoft probably isn't going to release a new controller anytime soon it took them years to deal release one with minor changes that dealt with the 360's d-pad issues.
