8 Remasters That Made Video Games WORSE

6. Bully: Scholarship Edition

In July 2007, riding high on the success of their schoolyard hi-jinks simulator Bully, Rockstar Games announced a remaster to bring the game to the new generation of consoles - only the Xbox 360 and Wii, however, and for some reason not the PS3. Later being ported to PCs as well, Bully: Scholarship edition boasted audiovisual enhancements and more missions, lessons and unlockable items.

And it was rubbish.

While the game's audio was admittedly of better quality, the "graphical enhancements" included some baffling changes to character models - Jimmy himself included - which were truly ugly and a little creepy. Some of the new lessons were welcome, but didn't feel like pivotal additions.

Worst of all, of course, were the remaster's many technical issues. Scholarship Edition was notorious for running poorly and crashing on older Xbox 360s due to a lack of adequate testing, and the PC port was considered shoddy and untimely.

Many of the extra missions were simply content cut from the original PS2 release for not being up to standard, so that says it all really. They were also known for frequently soft-locking the game. Bang-up job, Rockstar.
